The Warped Space series is an abstract exploration of three dimensional space using the power of parallel lines. Each shape floats in a void that separates them from a recognisable environment.
Series 3 retains the colour palette and warping method from the previous series. However, instead of creating whichever compositions come to mind, I made the conscious choice to focus on symmetry and patterns.
Red also took on more varied roles in these compositions; previously black and white were warped and red was for complementary shapes, whereas this time red was also warped in some compositions, such as Warped Space 32.
Another noticeable design difference is the inclusion of intersecting black lines without the white lines between them, such as in Warped Space 24. This results in a lattice effect quite different from previous designs.
The use of layering of red with the other colours to imply depth was also employed to good effect in multiple designs, specifically in Warped Space 35 and Warped Space 38.
